Pretty similar experience with my p322. The safety lever would go to a “half cock” position, and the gun would still fire. Had to push the safety hard up to make the trigger stop moving. Very misleading to someone not familiar with the gun because it had an audible and tactile click into the “half cock”, much like it does when actually engaging the safety.

Sent it back to Sig, they fixed it, and sent it back. Replaced the safety lever IIRC. I wish I knew exactly what they found. Was it bent, or out of tolerance, or a burr, or something else?

Have a Holosun 407k on mine and it’s accurate. Fun to shoot when the mags want to act right. I haven’t mastered loading them where they feed right yet. Same with the 20 and 25 round mags.

I just bought a Ruger mk 4 stainless 10” bull barrel. Can’t wait to shoot it.

If mechanically inclined in the slightest, I would recommend doing the mods to remove the mag disconnect "safety feature" that prevents you from dry firing the gun without a mag in it, which makes taking it apart annoying AF.

Youtube

You don't actually need to buy anything to do this mod. You can cut off the extra bits of the "safety disconnect" mechanism once it's taken out (shown in video at 4:45) and reinstall it basically as a washer.

I have a little Keltec 22 that will shoot anything you feed it. It's a fun little gun to shoot cans.

just the 9mm was discontinued. PPQ22 still in production

I have it and it's my favorite 22 pistol (even over my MkIV 22/45 with full Volquartsen kit). It eats every type of ammo with every 22 can

I’d recommend the PPQ 5”. Runs 12 rd mags. Pretty good deal at CDNN currently, $269 and don’t think they charge tax.

PPQ @ CDNN

Oops, you’re looking to run suppressed, that one’s gonna run you about $350+.

That’s sweet, I may have to buy the 5” to pair with my 4”.

Sorry. I accidentally posted on this thread instead of the other Accessorizing a 10/22 thread. Moved my post to there.

This, S&W M&P .22 compact. Have 2, neither one has EVER misfired with any brand of ammo. I am a Sig fan and bought the 322 when they came out.Mine would not shoot Aguila blue box ammo. Sent it back to Sig for repair and they said there was nothing wrong with it. Traded it off for the second M&P .22 which shoots the same ammo flawlessly.

S&W M&P compact .22. This little gun is pretty great. Accurate for its size and very reliable. Not too bad on price either.

Sig P322. I within the last 2 weeks sent this one back to Sig to get it worked on and have not taken out to shoot it since I got it back. The slide lock-back lever would not hold the slide to the rear. They fixed that. The magazine has to be loaded a particular way otherwise you can have rounds that won't feed. That gets pretty frustrating. But, the gun is very accurate. Hope it performs better.

I have several Taurus guns, one being the TX22 others have mentioned. It’s a fantastic pistol, especially for the price. Feels like a full size handgun only lighter.

Usually load it with CCI Stingers or Mini Mags but it also runs Winchester bulk .22 and Remington Thunderbolt. Probably 400-500 rounds through it with just a couple of jams, FTE or FTL and those were early. It’s a machine now. Fun to shoot. I have the base version with no optics or other accessories, just straight out of the box. I’ll probably look at putting optics on it at some point.

I believe it was Handgun of the Year by Guns & Ammo magazine in 2019. Taurus has come a long way in quality and dependability. Definitely recommend.

I have one. Flawless, with or without suppressor.
Relatively inexpensive, reliable and threaded barrel
