I think I’m the only one in my birth family who doesn’t. My husband loves falling asleep to a tv though.
Are you a Bammer or Tenner fan?

When I was a kid I could sleep through all kinds of noise... So yes I sleep with the TV on but have the timer set to turn off after about 90 minutes..

I have always found it difficult to work or sleep without background noise.

My wife likes the tv on big bang or every one hates Raymond for back ground noise. I’m in my office watching something. When I go to bed later I turn it off because I like mechanical noise of fans or rain noise.

I switch the picture to a darker setting when I’m trying to go to sleep.

Only when I doze off in my recliner.

TV on, TV off, lights on/lights off, raging thunderstorm, fireworks, trains, eighteen wheelers, loud rap and hiphop music with the vehicle buzzing, baby crying, hail storm on a metal roof………………I sleep……………..like a fricking baby.

Bedrooms are made for sleeping and fricking. Not watching TV.

Don't sleep with the TV on, but used to love going to sleep listening to the radio when I was growing up. We had one of those humongous old radios in a wooden case.

I can’t sleep with any changing stimulus. No TV, no music, no nothing. That would actually be a deal breaker for me in any new relationship

Nope. I can't do it. I like it pitch black with the ceiling fan on high and no other noise.

I've awakened at 2 AM and couldn't go back to sleep so I turned the TV on, volume down, and on the most boring network TV show possible.
Puts me to sleep handily.

Lately, I have not been able to sleep without it. Just let myself go, the laptop and the tv will both time-out.
Yea, I typically have it on. I eventually just pass out and when I wake up to pee for the second time, I turn it off or change channels

Started falling asleep with 1 AirPod in listening to podcasts when I had a newborn a few years ago and now it’s the only way I can fall asleep

Three Tylenol PM at 8:00pm. 10:00 pm on the dot in bed, lights out, no tv, fan on, thermostat at 70, me, wife and dog all trying to out snore the other.
Wife normally wins.

When I am home alone, Disney Chanel is the best because if you fall asleep who cares and if you wake up you don't accidentally wake up to a someone being stabbed of something.
If I'm with other people no noise is fine, it's just alone I get scared so the TV distraction helps me fall asleep faster.
And yes, I know adults shouldn't be scared when staying home alone.

I used to but eventually it wakes me up and I have to turn it off.
Now I set a timer to turn it off after 1.5 hrs

I stream history documentaries every night and watch those until I'm ready to fall asleep
