If the Pacers won Game 7 of the '98 ECF and beat the Jazz in the '98 Finals, where would they rank?

To go through MJ and Malone and Stockton to win a championship would've been something for Larry Bird and Reggie Miller.....

I still hold that team and series in high regard. Basketball was infinitely more watchable for the casual fan back then.

Probably as a great team without a true superstar player. Maybe like the 04 Pistons.

They were a great team and should have beaten the Bulls that year.

Their resume would be strikingly similar to the Pistons teams from the '00s so I think they would be held in similar regard to them.

1993-2000 Pacers
1 Championship (defeating a Phil Jackson coached Dynasty team along the way)
2 NBA Finals Appearances
Five Conference Finals Appearances

2002-2008 Pistons
1 Championship (defeating a Phil Jackson coached Dynasty team along the way)
2 NBA Finals Appearances
Six Conference Finals Appearances
