In some ways yes, but in other ways no, especially the LBJ great society legislation. I think people naturally grow out of supporting pie in the sky social and economic programs as they get older. A good example of this is climate change -- most of the college kids who are worried about that now will not care about it in 10 years, maybe less, and that is perhaps the biggest plank in the current Dem platform besides maybe abortion and identity politics.

The one thing I will agree with OP on is the anti white racism emerging in this country. That is a new wrinkle, and could affect my 1968 analogy. I remember thinking back in 2017 when the City of NO took down the confederate monuments that it was an opening salvo of this movement, and no matter what you may think of someone like REL, it just emboldened them to keep going, taking down statues of Thomas Jefferson and Teddy Roosevelt, etc. They want to erase white history.

What are things that literally never happened, Alex?

Things that they know full well never happened yet still repeat as if they did, in an effort to try to make them seem like they actually did happen.

Might want to check the demographics of 1970s America and compare to today. Not even remotely the same country.

Exactly.

Old head coaches like Jon Gruden, Bill Belichick, Joe Girardi, etc. can't connect with the young athletes today....

Someone like a Colin Kaepernick can.........

I'll have to check back with a source but I just read a study this week stating that Gen Z is the most conservative generation since the 1980s

True, but you will NEVER understand how they feel because they are the majority...

The views you have is not the views the majority of the future of this country has....

Policing, etc. all have to be changed to adapt to this generation's ideology....

Law and order is OUT. Completely out.

I will go home at night to my house with a 2.75% interest rate.

Latinos and Blacks will always be Democrats

Latinos are pretty evenly split. Many are religious, business owners and have strong family principals. Their future political vote is still very much up for grabs.

Blacks are quickly becoming an irrelevant political conglomerate having been replaced by brown illegals. And perhaps their fertility rate is higher than whites, but they also abort at a rate much higher than whites, have lower life spans (lose more children to violence) and higher incarceration rates.

If I'm a Republican operative, I'm chasing the Latino vote. Let the Dems have the Blacks.

I really wish I could run for office. I feel like I am actually grounded in the center right and could give a damn about political games and be a man of the people. But I'm not wealthy or ivy league, nor do I have rich friends and family.
Oddly enough... Huey P Long was my favorite Louisiana politician because he actually stood for the people and didn't care who he pissed off. It got him killed.

So America is going to be like Major League Baseball.

Blacks irrelevant, and Blacks like Torii Hunter lashing out at people like Vladimir Guerrero Sr., for not being a BLACK AMERICAN.

quote:

“People see dark faces out there, and the perception is that they’re African American,” Los Angeles Angels center fielder Torii Hunter says. “They’re not us. They’re impostors.

“Even people I know come up and say, ‘Hey, what color is Vladimir Guerrero? Is he a black player?’ I say, ‘Come on, he’s Dominican. He’s not black.’ ”

IDK if that's true with women. But when average looking young men starting making money they realize that free market capitalism gets them nicer looking women.

This. And don’t think that “opinion polls “ aren’t manipulated to further their agenda as well.

Being a white, conservative, college-educated American is still tough to beat.

They hate us 'cause they ain't us (as the kids say)

Are they though? Ask a leftist if they are gonna be having a family.

They support abortion, think we are overpopulated(yet they want open borders so the mental gymnastics for that one will give you an aneurism), and they think man-made climate change will be the downfall of civilization and that it would be inhumane to bring a child into such a forsaken future of racism and no oceans.

Then you can look at the falling apart of DEI, reversal of Roe v Wade, they’re more likely to sterilize their kids, and they’re losing the indoctrination battle you get a society with less and less liberals. Is that college professor that preaches leftist agendas procreating? Most likely not because unlike the politicians, “scientists” and lobbyists they adamantly follow, they really believe the lies.

Wake up, you are dreaming. There are 50 test tubes in this country called states and every one of them have several million guns each collectively owned by an average 1.6 million people from each state.

We do not have a central government and we never will.
