There was a lot of funkiness going on with Velocity throughout the life of that tornado. This may be one of those times when pixel picking isn't very accurate.

This is definitely a weird storm. Slow speed, the rapid formation of a large tornado, the sudden disappearance of that tornado and then the formation of a new tornado further south.

ETA: NWS calling the new tornado large and extremely dangerous now.

For instance, the frame just before the one he posted was this with about eight 140.9mph pixels coupled with several RF pixels:

We had a similar storm in Oklahoma I think last year, maybe the year before. The final surveyed track consisted of three or four tornadoes that essentially made a big loop. I want to say it was East of OKC.

I am flat out confused

Which isn't all that unusual but still....

Like there's got to be some sort of data error here

It is almost certainly as far as Velocity is concerned. It was a mess at times.

Yeah, I think we just witnessed something pretty rare and very interesting. It made me think about El Reno and how erratic it was.

Watching the coverage now. Is about 45 miles west; northwest of us and these weather guys are befuddled. This was not anticipated and the erratic nature has them groping for answers

Yep. It is a weird one.

ETA: And I'm not saying it isn't. I'm just pointing out that the guy grabbing pixels to say how strong the first tornado was is mistaken.

Said it is rotating opposite of what a tornado normally does. Seems they spin up and circle and rebound

Trying to figure out what they are ingesting

There is a boundry ahead of the activity that is not a typical outflow boundary and apparently fueling the activity

I remember that one too. I think it was SE of OKC then East then NE and would disappear then reform rain wrapped shortly after over and over again

Wild storm. Wouldn’t be surprised if there were 3-4 different tornadoes produced during all of that.

Running south, southeast now. We ought to be just west of the Devol OK activity
