For a long time, I wondered what it looked like when all the protests took place under LBJ

And while I have come to realize that the Vietnam protestors were probably right in their motivation (and horrifically wrong in how they took it out on soldiers), I still found it hard to believe a Democratic icon would be a target of these people.

Now, we get to see them deal with the monsters they’ve created.

I lived through it and was lucky enough to get into the National Guard from 1969 to 1975. We did riot training at Ft Polk and Camp Beauregard 4 times a year. Sometimes with riot batons and other times with M-1's and bayonets. We were prepared.

The protests in 1968 were worse due to MLK and RFK being assasinated within 2 months of each other. Then the Pentagon Papers came out and we realized the whole Vietnam war was bullshite.

Unfortunately, progressives don’t understand consequences. It is almost like they have a mental block to realizing that bad decisions lead to negative outcomes.
