Welp...that should result in the rest of the congregations breaking off

They now have adopted the Episcopalian ritual,
"the packing of the fudge".

"“We are no longer [saying] that being gay is a sin …and no longer ban LGBTQ from serving as ministers … Praise be to God.”"

The moron doesn't realize that man does not get to determine what is and is not sin. Man can changes, but God remains the same. If God says it is a sin, then it is a sin. This is the problem with lukewarm religions that try to please people instead of do what is pleasing to God.

It is my understanding they get to keep the property but must contribute to a Methodist fund for two years with their exit.

No the congregation purchases the property outright and has to contribute 2 years worth of total pastoral compensation. It’s technically payback for two years worth of the pastor’s retirement.

These people don’t believe in God.

Their goal was to own the church. They’ve done it.

I can't fathom attending any 'church' these days all of them are infiltrated with homosexuals.

Nope. That’s a dumb comment.

Lawlessness, absolute Lawlessness and the Church wonders why she has lost her voice

Bible had not changed. It still is a sin. You are preaching a false religion at a false church. You are no longer Christian just a woke politician.

Then it's no longer a church.

It's really not. If it isn't the 'preacher' or the 'priest' then it is the 'youth minister' or the 'music minister' or some other homosexual predator scurrying around looking for the next kid to molest. Its fricking sick and no way in hell would I allow my kids in that environment. No thanks.

It really is. Not every church is inundated with gays like you said.

My current isn’t and my last one wasn’t.

Utah and Jax, Florida though.

The Episcopalian church is ate up with the gays and fly the damn flag.

Say what you want about the Catholic Church, but there’s a reason it stays so rigid to it’s old rules.

When you budge on any of these issues, it creates a terribly slippery slope.

That’s why Pope Francis has caught the amount of flack he has.

That's true. And he's caught all the flack while clearly stating multiple times that the Church can't make gay marriage a thing.

This person doesn't want true justice. If they got it, it would mean they were damned.

The UMC is lost, taken over by wolves.

In the light of Scripture? None, as this union will not be condoned, much less blessed by God. This is 'man joining together', not God

There are still many true churches around. Start by looking for a confessional church (Westminster Confession of Faith or the London Baptist Confession, for instance.)

The church had a big change of heart on slavery ~200 years ago. This is just another change.

I see we have a serial downvoting phaggot. What are you mad for? You've killed another institution.

Congrats, you should be proud.
