Fake news. Austin liberals, most of which are not UT students

I’ve zero doubt non-UTex students were involved; but it’s certainly not “fake news” to point out the reality that UTex students also participated. If one-half weren’t UTex students … one-half were.

Austin isn’t the sole locale for these encampments and protests—I’d bet most campuses across the country have seen a pro-Palestine rally of some sort. But geez, UTex is one heckuva sexy draw for folks who support this madness. I feel badly for the horns who aren’t freaks, as the number of non-nut jobs continues to dwindle.

Twenty-five students form a barricade at Inner Campus Drive, attempting to block a bus transporting arrested protesters. Law enforcement announces protesters have “two minutes” to clear, and then drive motorcycles into the protester barricade.

Law enforcement starts pepper spraying protesters. Two flash bangs are set off.

“I had no idea this absolute monstrosity of a response was what was on the horizon,” said Bethany Epstein, a physics graduate student who was pepper sprayed by police twice during today’s protests.

The letter urged the University to not pursue criminal charges against those arrested and to not discipline community members involved in both the protest on Wednesday and a subsequent teach-in on Thursday.

Again.. why in the frick are political posts allowed on this forum? Our country is going to shite.. across the board.. both sides.. and if I wanted to read about that, I would go over to the political board..

This has absolutely nothing to do with SEC sports.. nada.. zilch..

The fake news is that there is an 'encampment' on the UT campus, there is not. There are protests occurring, as there are at almost every school in the country.

Yes, any group with an interest of stirring up shite knows to do it at UT because it will draw headlines. Pro-Palestine protests are happening on every SEC campus to some extent but no one gives a shite about what happens at Ole Miss.
