Legitimately enjoy the work? No. I do love the people I work with and have gotten to know over the decades. That is what has kept me around.
I have been in the same industry for 35 years, same employer for the last 25. Was recently offered and accepted early retirement as part of a company wide expense management effort. I am out the door in a few months, will take a month or two off and have my next job lined up.
At this point, it is no longer about enjoyment. It is a means to an end - truly being retired. I still work hard, always have and will.
