Columbus, Ohio recommendations

Going to be in Columbus soon for a family visit. Anyone have good tips for restaurants or attractions? My partner’s family tends to be fairly basic, meat and potatoes kind of people.
Also, thanks to all who responded to my request for info about Las Vegas. We ultimately bowed out, as I realized from your responses that it would entail too much walking, and be more expensive than I was comfortable with. You saved us from a costly - financially and physically - trip.

Drive over to Dayton and tour the Air Force museum.

Lots of really good restaurants in Columbus. Any Camron Mitchell restaurant will be great. The Pearl is my favorite.
Thurman's has a great burger and I've always loved Adriatico's pizza. Good areas with food would be the German Village, Short North and the Arena District though I prefer the first two over the third.

Short North has a lot of art galleries and good restaurants. Easton has a good shopping mall if you’re into that. The suburbs around Cbus are pretty much the same in terms of things to do.

My two favorites in Columbus were Dirty Frank’s Hot Dogs and their minor league baseball park. They just happened to have the Ohio State Fair going when I was there. Highly recommend if you have a chance.

I'm going soon for a meeting and cannot think of a more boring place. It is mostly clean and quiet but I can get that at home. I was hoping for something a bit more interesting, especially in terms of food. I have a lot of friends that grew up there and they are all moved out. Nothing bad about the place, but I'd much rather have the meeting in Houston or Chicago.
As someone mentinoed the USAF museum is incredible. Could spend two days there.

North Market looks really cool and they have a nationally popular zoo.

The Columbus zoo is awesome and it’s right next to Dublin which has some nice restaurants and very nice real estate. There are no poor areas in Dublin.

Schmidt’s Sausage Haus in German village.
Tons of other options. Columbus is low key awesome imo

COSI is an awesome science museum for a family to spend a day at. rat basketball (if they still have it) is a highlight.
German village as a whole is great. in summer they probably have free evening concerts.
