If they don’t at least offer that to Jonas then they are nuts because I don’t see how we upgrade. There’s few really elite C in the NBA now and the ones that have them aren’t giving them up. Jonas isn’t in that category but he’s in the one right below it. Whether he would take that is another thing but it’s only a $2.1 million pay cut from his salary last year. I’m all for finding an athletic rim protector but I just don’t see how you find a starter for that spot. Claxton is going to get a massive offer to stay in Brooklyn and Hartenstein is going to be fielding many offers on the open market. I also wonder what the market for Naji will be. I figure somewhere in the $7-12 million annually. I’d love him back for around $8 million a year if we could possibly afford it. Unfortunately I think the Lakers see JV as the perfect way to get pussy Toni back to playing the 4 like he wants.

If we give full NTPMLE to Jonas then we have no money left under the tax line and can’t sign anyone else after our draft pick. We are sitting around 16 million under the tax line currently for next season

He hasn't had a salary that low since his rookie contract. This will probably be his final contract, I'll be surprised if he makes thaylt much less than what's he's making now.

Rob Pelinka isn't that stupid. The Lakers already get absolutely destroyed by teams with quick guards, like the Kings. Adding JV at the five would only compound that problem. Davis at PF really doesn't work in today's NBA, which is why the Lakers moved him to C, whether he liked it or not.

Seriously, I'm not sure what NBA team would actually want JV to come start for them. As an NBA starter, I think he's done.

pretty sure we don’t need the MLE to resign JV.

I don’t think JV would take $20 million/ year to play for that jackass.

I'd rather give that to Isaiah Hartenstein.

Knicke need to pay OG Anunoby and Precious Achiuwa, so they can't pay as much in MLE as the Pel's.

Plus the Pels can offer Hartenstein a starting role.

Once Mitchell Robinson is fully back from his injury he will be their starter.
