I could care less that Miami is gonna throw the extra money to get him (worked great for A&M right)

But the fact they could have had the Indiana kid for a reasonable amount and let him walk...

Thats gonna sting.

We don't know what's going on behind the scenes. We also don't know what kinda money is being offered. What I do know is LSU is more than capable of offering a competitive NIL package on top of having 2 of the best D-line coaches in the country, and having a roster with a guaranteed starting DT spot. Whatever these guys are getting offered it's not market value, but a monstrous overpay.

Kelly doesn't like to overpay for players, it creates resentment and turmoil in the lockeroom. You can't pay a middle of the SEC caliber Dlineman more than your star WR or all American LB.

I know, right ? Like why didn't he hop in Marty and The Doc's DeLorean and put a gun to coach O's head and warn him that if he didn't stop frickin around with his own mid-life crisis that there were gonna be some real message board hard asses that they would have to deal with during the 2024 off-season, and nobody wants that.
