This project started in 2017. They’re saying it will be completed in 2026.

9 years to complete this project, IF they finish when they say they will.

Is anyone worried about fraud in projects like these?

Who is the internal/external auditor here?

I think the I-10 projects in BR are worst than the ones that were in Texas for the last 20 years…

Inspired by the recent St George news, how do you envision Pecue Lane exit looking like in about 15-20 years?

This has been the biggest joke of a project timeline of any in recent memory.

It's literally some off/on ramps, and widening...

Final phase and only two more years to complete
I live in this area and I hope this is completed by mid 2026, but somehow I doubt it.

Ask yourself why it’s a “3 phase” project. It’s funding. There’s a perception that these projects take so long due to studies and incompetence and while those things are both true to an extent, the main reason is that there isn’t enough money to go around. So the list of projects that DOTD is “working on” is much longer than the list of projects that are actually funded for construction.

The only reason the Pecue project is happening at all is that there have been influxes of federal money - first from $80 million that was redistributed due to being unused by other states in 2018, and now from the federal infrastructure bill.

I want to know about the one house on Pecue that hasn’t moved. The road is 8ft away from the house and will be used 24 hours a day. I would have begged for eminent domain from the initial announcement.

Damn, I hope I'm still driving so I can check it out. Side note: it was a blast crossing the new Horace Wilkinson bridge when it opened in '68.
