You need a significant amount of damage from hail to actually compromise the integrity of your roof.
The company won’t definitively call damage “hail damage” because that insinuates a significant hailstorm. It’s the insurance company trying to avoid any conflicts with lawyers who’ll destroy them in litigation if they indicate hail damage and don’t cover it.
