Men in general are horrible about being proactive for any health issues so not shocking they aren’t rushing to seek help with possible depression
Perhaps a certain type of person is more apt to blame their life ills on some kind of handicap. Or perhaps they truly are more unfulfilled in life.
It's a lazy and convenient argument to say that any uptick in mental illness is simply due them being more "open" to talking about it.

Again- there is social science on this. Read. Don’t emote. Read and learn. And if too lazy to educate oneself just know that dysfunctional people are attracted to dysfunctional ideas. Solid people are attracted to solid ideas. A lot of that is evolutionary biology and genetics. Well adjusted people don’t dabble in catastrophic philosophies. And poorly adjusted people do because they have a propensity to seek meaning in bad annd temporal ideas.
