Why are the spots bare?
Shaded? Compaction? Poor drainage?
Have you considered plugging the bare area from the healthy grass?

Sprayed late in year last year where st Augustine grass was growing before new home build. Put down sandy soil to help growth but spot is very big. Will definitely be plugging that area and hitting it with water. It’s partially shaded but receives enough sunshine through the day to have Bermuda
