Personally I don’t think any one dt that was in the portal would “cure” our defense. Our secondary was hot dog shite. We do have much better coaches so maybe they get more out of the guys we have than the previous staff

Oh no doubt. We have plenty of talent in the secondary. If Baker and company were here last year we would have been 11-1 playing UGA in the title game

Right. This defense isn't going to be great. They for sure need starters at both dt spots.
But I keep hearing people say "this would be a championship team if we get d tackles".
Those people are going to be in for a rude awakening.
