It looks like its finally starting to click with this team. 7-2 since the UT sweep.

It is a shame it took so long, but for whatever reason, we no longer look like a bad team. Hell, in hindsight, even the Tenn series felt more competitive. The problem is, it is still baseball and you can lose games while playing well, ask A&M about that. And of course, this team can not afford to lose many more games (captain obvious shite, I know)
The path is rather well defined at this point. Go 5-3 or better the rest of the way and you are in the postseason. The positive is, you would have a team on the rise and not limping into a regional.

No doubt. And while losing both would suck, I will be surprised if we aren't in both games late. I would not have felt that way a month ago. 5-3 feels a lot more in play now than it did then.

AtM could easily win the next 2 game with a 10 run mercy rule too. Southern beat the crap out of this team. Last night was great but means nothing for today or tomorrow.

The win last night against them though showed something. We don't make that comeback a few weeks ago. Like the previous poster said, cautiously optimistic should be the mindset.
But frick that noise. I am ready to be hurt. We sweep these bitches!

At which point I would realize I was dead wrong about the team having turned a corner and go back to the mindset I had a few weeks ago which was Abner Doubleday can go suck a bag of AIDS dicks.

Maybe, just maybe, the schedule got a lot easier after the Tennessee series.
LSU was competitive against Arkansas. The first two games weren’t decided until very late. LSU was very competitive against Florida and not for a dropped strike 3, LSU wins that series.

If only we completed the sweep against Auburn we’d be in a regional right now.
Granted we can make up ground today or tomorrow with a surprise series win against A&M so not too big a deal.
