Its a mutual relationship. China knows that if Russia is weak it hurts their ability to fight western hegemony which will try to hold China down into just a manufacturing state economy for its own markets. As China emerges, and build out its own trade routes, it knows it must exercise power to show the western powers it means business. As far as USA being some great power that can protect trade routes, we have seen just a big of sham that is by Yemen. USA does not have the types and amount of naval ships to do so. It has a fleet built to fight countries far away, not protect trade routes which is much more different. China and even India have done a better job of building those out.

It’s the exact same thing that USA and Ukraine did to Russia - they set up rockets pointed to Russia for no reason - so Putin had to respond (which he did) but Putin is a meany

This is bullshite! Putin did not have to respond. Japan did not respond when North Korea pointed rockets at them. neither did South Korea. Putin points rockets at folks, also, and they don't "respond".

Plus, I want to point out that the rockets were aimed based on a reasonable expectation that Putin was going to invade AGAIN! Putin invaded Georgia; he invaded Crimea; and now he has invaded the rest of Ukraine. Do you see a pattern?

what rocket launchers did Ukraine set up pointed at Russia, with the US helping? Feel free to link something, preferably not Russian state propaganda

Can't happen, won't happen. China is in the midst of demographic collapse. Their population is going to be cut in half by 2050-ish. They are demographically incapable of consumption-led growth, their investment-led growth has burned out, and export-led growth is impossible without the U.S. and Europe. Face it.....China is almost done as a unified nation. They've only been able to unify and grow due to the artificial economic and security environment created by the U.S. Without that, it's going to revert back to the fractured mess that it's always been.

Simply looking up the largest ammo producers in the world will show that we can obtain any amount necessary at any point in time from a plethora of allies. It's a non-issue for the US.

Cost isn't an issue either - as seen from this administration, they can print whatever money is necessary under our noses and just increase taxes, and the price of goods and services to pay for it.

Except that it is.

At any rate, if that's true, then why didn't they just do it? Why are they openly talking about shortages; in particular, with in regard to artillery? Not even a year ago, elites were openly talking about the supply chain problem:

quote:

“This is an artillery intensive fight,” Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin told CNN last week. “You know, we’ve seen large amounts of artillery be employed on both sides of the fence. And so that puts a strain on the international supply of munitions, artillery munitions.”

Were so "desperate" that we're sending cluster munitions that will add another blow to the already tainted reputation we've managed to build with this idiotic war:

quote:

But US officials became so concerned in recent weeks about the US’ ability to resupply Ukraine that President Joe Biden decided to send Kyiv highly controversial cluster munitions. The move was politically dicey and risked alienating European allies, many of whom have banned the munitions because of the risk they pose to civilians.

From the article

And that's laughable that you seem to think that we literally will just keep having a "blank check" as it were. Sooner-or-later, you either have the industrial production capacity or you don't, and there's good evidence that this conflict will be long over before we even catch up.

Lol, i understand youtube creators like to piggy back with these type of videos. But thats horse shite. Just overall, and very hypocritical when you try to use this metric compared to western. You'll be sitting there in 20 years and wondering why all that never materialized when the guy on youtube told you it was. In the end if any of these metrics China will find a solution to them, and already are. Just as the west will try to solve all of their many, many, many issues.

Oh my. We believe government reports on their merit as wholly factual and true?

So, you're implying that the US government would possibly concoct a narrative that makes them look militarily impotent when they're trying to defeat the second (Vitali Klitschko said the quiet part out loud and recently said "the most powerful military") most powerful military in the world?

What a weird and self-defeating strategy.

If they could do what you said that they could do, they'd just do it and then focus the narrative on Western military might.

Ukraine will fall, and the US will deflect and deny any shortcoming on it's part and say something-like the Ukrainians just "couldn't prevail for "x" reason".

It's really surreal in a way.

I'll be interested to see what this dynamic looks like in 2-3 years. It's going to wild, weird, maybe terrifying, and it times hilarious.
