How are we the good guys and forcing Ukraine to fight

Millions have fled the country, there are no more volunteers, Ukraine is asking Europe to send back conscript evaders, men are being packed into cars being pulled off the street, free speech and journalists can be arrested for questioning the government, and elections are canceled so the people have no voice to stop the war.

Are people just slaves to the will of the government who will never be in Dan and can flee when the end is near. How can we look at the situation and say the only answer is to keep fighting.

Similar to what we had in Vietnam between the protest and elections our government was forced to stop the war because of dissent back home. Yet we are fueling a war where the people have no say.
