I don’t think people care whether or not there are girls in the shows. I think people care that there is a distinct lack of white males that aren’t bad guys to the degree that it’s very pointed. I mean look at The Acolyte…That and the budgets for a lot of these shows are just dog shite. Kenobi has a third of Andor’s budget like wtf?


Look at Mando Seasons 1-2. Look at Rogue One. Look at Bad Batch and Andor. Give Star Wars good characters and good writing and the fans will come back. They just haven’t done that.

This is the biggest issue, but I think it’s more the allocation of the budget versus the size. If you compare runtimes, I would imagine Andor is at least twice as long as Kenobi, but I’m sure McGregor got paid more than all of the Andor actors combined. Kenobi had to pay McGregor and use The Volume and Andor pays reasonable actor salaries and gets to shoot on location.
