If the university has a spine, he’d be told he has 24 hours to release grades of face inmate termination.

Students should sue him and the university. They paid to attend college. This guy admitted why he’s failing to do his job which affects the customers who paid.

We have an interim chancellor right now named Lee Roberts (who is actually Cokie Roberts from LA's son) . He is a well connected Republican in the state. He had an excellent response last week when he went to re-raise the US flag after terrorist sympathizers removed it. I expect him to do very well in this situation. The Board of Trustees and Board of Governors are all GOP too so if he wants the full-time job, he'll have to handle it to their liking.

Most of these universities have cowards as administrators. They give the whacked out element of the faculty way too much power.
What employer would tolerate employees refusing to do an essential element of their job because of concerns over protestors (particularly protestors who are violating the law)? What employer would tolerate an employee shitting all over its customers by refusing to perform their job duties?
Frankly, what kind of student would put up with some professor withholding grades?
The administration at UNC should fire every faculty member who withholds grades. There are plenty of people in this world who would love to have those faculty jobs.

So let’s say there’s a student in his class who has an internship lined up for the summer, but like with lots of big companies, they have to show their cumulative end of semester grade is above a certain GPA. Now they can’t show it. Even worse if it was below the required GPA when the semester began, but said student knows they worked their asses off and likely has brought their cumulative back up but can’t prove it to their hopeful summer employer.
If I’m the parent of said kid, I sue the shite out of that piece of crap.
