The Red Bull guy did this several years ago. Fired some of the top people in North America, and let them know that Job One was to sell Red Bull.

I have been in Starbucks once. In Las Vegas. I am not a big coffee drinker, but when I want coffee I refuse to buy into going to one of these places and paying the price they charge.

Well, what the hell does he expect….inflation is a B! Middle class doesn’t have as much disposable to buy a $7 latte. I look for local coffee shops whenever possible, but I don’t mind SBux. They just built 2 new freestanding locations close to me. Must not be struggling tooo bad.

The best way to get an liberal activist rich man to change his tune, is to hit him in the pocketbook.

They're struggling? Every time I drive by my local one it has a line of people waiting for their $9 milkshake. Side note: stopped in there when our power went out on Sunday morning to get some fresh coffee. Not a big fan of Pike's Place but it did the job.
I left education after a decade and went back to sales. They aren’t “struggling” but probably missed plan(which is essentially all the rich people that own us want to make x amount of dollars”. Giant corporations don’t understand that sometimes you can be profitable without growing sales by 5%. One of the effects of what I call super capitalism. You have constantly being growing and outperforming year over year instead of simply maintaining efficiency and good profitability.

I would love nothing more than the loser hipster activists they catered to turn on them and destroy the whole damn empire. Posting pics on social media with your little cup and your name on it turned them into a juggernaut, and for no reason to me. I'd rather make a cup of Folgers with half n half and Splenda than stand in line for 30 minutes with Antifa trying to get a tree bark black coffee that I'm just going to fix up myself

The Seattle coffee giant said revenue dropped 2% in the January-March period as store traffic slowed around the world

The only thing I do not like about corporatism is how even a slight drop in revenue is the end of the world all of a sudden. Consumers are going to cut back given the economy. Eventually, there will be down swings in the market for everyone. Can boardrooms and investors stop panicking when you miss earnings by 1-2%? Especially when you are up like 35% from 2020?

However, they've had lighter roasts for years

And?

They are all over-roasted, even their light. That's the point.

Well, that's not "the point", that's your opinion.

Too late motherfricker. Starbucks might as well not exist when it comes to me purchasing coffee.

Starbucks coffee is objectively not good in large part due to their success. At their volume it is impossible to consistently source good coffee beans, so in turn they overly roast everything. If you want high quality coffee stay out of Starbucks and get the light roast from whatever coffee shop you happen to be in.

Just admit you don’t like dark roast. I can’t stand light/medium roast, me. Dark roast all day. I think Starbucks is pretty good.

Starbucks are gross, the bathrooms are filthy. The coffee taste like shite and the fake heal the world and hyper liberal baristas make it a place of last resort.

That bottled water they sell says it all- the bottle acts like it’s saving the earth, read the fine print they only donate 5c to that fake save the earth fund for a $5 bottle of water.

I used to grab a Starbucks coffee a couple of times a week and one located near the donut shop my boys and I go to on the way to school. A few months back, I walked in to pick up my mobile order (which I’d already paid for) and the stupid frick workers were outside on strike. They told me I’d have to call corporate to get a refund. Haven’t been to Starbucks since they stole from me and won’t go again.
