I think it is going to depend entirely upon where storms pop up and then where the line forms later on. You're kind of right on the border of where borh the NAM and the HRRR have everything coming together.

Would someone care to explain to me why the Storm Prediction Center's Storm Report for yesterday shows no tornadoes hitting anywhere in Alabama?

I guess because they haven't actually received any direct tornado reports. They should coordinate with Spann, he gets them all.

You see how the MCS is going to come together with the loop of that storm.

There’s some huge hail in the west AL storms.

Man I’m so grateful that everything missed me last night, because if not for the easterly and south eastern turn of the storms I could have been in two paths.
I’m still refreshing this page for 24 hours now. Learned a ton folks. Thanks.

Big time storms in the Birmingham metro. It’s all stayed just south of me so far.

Can anyone embed a looping image of storm approaching I-35 between San Antonio and Austin. Strong rear-flank downdraft inducing a possible tornado...

NWS Birmingham

@NWSBirmingham

Here's the doppler velocity data from the BMX radar, located in Calera. The red shows winds blowing away from the radar. The brighter the red, the higher the winds. The peach color going thru Clanton shows winds of 70+ mph at 1200 feet off the ground. #alwx

And winds now are somewhere around 90mph at around 1,100ft.

ETA: Wouldn't be surprised if it doesn't get a destructive thunderstorm tag.
