Mine is going despite not knowing what he wants to do. We are pushing it for several reasons. First, he’s an only child and has grown up in an area that’s a bubble from the real world. He needs the experience of living on his own and being responsible for himself before he’s thrown into the real world. Second, he has a 4.5 gpa and has worked hard throughout school to earn it. Sounds like he should focus on nutrition/kinesiology if he's going to college. College is A LOT easier if you are interested in the material you are studying.
