I will absolutely encourage my kids to not attend college unless they are pursuing a specific job that requires a degree like nursing or engineering. Otherwise trade school or work elsewhere till you figure out what you want to do. My biggest regret in life is taking on student loans debt so I won't put that burden on them

Seems silly to limit their college choices to two professions.
