Not a story but I found out years ago the best way to fish from the best boat ever, the boat that someone else is paying for, is to offer to get the trailer at the end of the day....and back it down the ramp perfectly. Do it and offer to pay for the gas and you will get invited again. Works like a charm.

Every good outdoorsman knows that having a good friend with a boat is better than having a boat.

I'll never understand how so many vehicles end up under water.

I was by myself, and I drove my boat up on the trailer, jumped out real quick because there were several waiting in line to launch. I jumped in the truck real quick and realized I got in the backseat instead of the driver seat. I stayed a little while to make it look like I was searching for something.

My dad semi submerged a truck in Holly Beach back in the day. Drove down there to help an old baw pull his truck out. His trick also got stuck. Tide came in. Finally a giant arse monster truck baw showed up and pulled them both out. Water was up to top of tires and it was a close one.

The first time I ever attempted to unload a pontoon, the fuel pump failed and I had to drag it back to the ramp and ratchet it back up. Fixed the boat and very first time to try and load a pontoon was in an upcoming storm with very strong winds. I’m sure I entertained the hell out of some people those two days

I've launched a boat hundreds of times and somehow I've never seen anything crazy at the launch

Too busy jack knifing your trailer into the dock to pay attention to anyone else.

Back in 2016 late in the afternoon I pulled up to the dock at Boopalus. Just tied my boat and was walking down the dock when this raggedy pontoon boat starts pulling in. A guy driving with two very rough looking female passengers.

One scrawny meth head female in a little dress stood up to step on the dock - and her foot slipped and she started falling, I went and grabbed her hand - to keep her from going in the water. And as she’s struggling to pull herself up on the dock, I realize she ain’t got a stitch of clothing on under her dress. Her naked arse cheeks were giving everybody a show they probably could have done without. This was one ugly female. She was so wasted- it didn’t faze her. Her legs were scratched up and bleeding. The pontoon driver said not one word and starts pulling away. Then she climbs on the dock and starts yelling and cursing at the guy and the girl in the pontoon.

Good times!

Not a boat launch story but a really funny boating story. Years ago, a buddy of mine said he was fishing the flats in False River one morning. He sees this boat coming towards him from a distance and it is porpoising up and down, up and down then shuts down. He said he watched the boat do this several times then decided to reel his line in and approach the boat. He pulls up next to the boat and the guy proceeds to tell him he just bought the boat yesterday and couldn't understand why it was doing that. My buddy tells the guy there is a button on the throttle control to press it and it will adjust the trim. The guy takes off and eventually gets the boat up on a smooth plane. The guy then pulls his boat next to my buddy to thank him and says you must know the guy I bought this boat from. True story, I swear.

There’s the adult who never learned to back up a trailer and has to keep pulling up and correcting it like 10 times.

I didn't want to be that guy

Years ago…. My wife was pregnant with my first kid. She had never seen the spillway.
I took her to pigeon landing and put in my old clapped out Louisiana traveler. Made a loop and headed back.
We get to the landing and I tell her to keep going in circles while I get the truck and trailer.
I realize I forgot my keys. Holler to her to drive by and hand them to me. She decides to chunk them to me. WAY short and into the water by the landing.
The coon arse next to me starts laughing and says he would beat her arse if she was his old lady.
It’s March. Waters up and cold. I dove in the broken glass and trash water and found the keys. Took many , many dives. Still butt hurt over it.

The nonsense to think that putting your exhaust pipe underwater makes your vehicle stall, WE KNOW YOU AIN'T NO BAW
