On another note but same kind of topic.
About a month ago I was coming back from fishing south of Belle River and were running up Belle River back to the camp and noticed a guy and his young son flagging us down. We stopped and the guy asks for a tow.
He and his son had gotten thrown out of the boat because he was teaching his 12 year old son how to drive a tiller handle outboard. Kid let go of the handle and the boat threw them both out and then got swamped. Talk about luckily it wasn't worse than just a shaken up 12 year old and very wet dad.
Be careful out there things can happen quickly.
