Then don’t look so desperate by saying stupid shite in early spring. I’m fine playing the youngsters and vets we have but Kelly goes and says how we desperately need DTs to the media. Thats a pretty stupid thing to say if your plan is to pay reasonably for portal guys.

It's a real bad look when the head ball coach comes out and says "we're only targeting DT" and we swing and miss.

He came out and publicly talked about how bad we need DL. I guess most of us thought he had control over how we were gonna accomplish that.

This sounds more like he had no idea this would happen. Which is pretty frickin frustrating.

A simple follow up question would have been, “but what if that approach leaves you without an SEC caliber interior defensive line?”

It would have been interesting to hear that response.
