I think we win 1 of 3 this weekend @ bama and sweep Ole miss. Bama will be a tough matchup

Considering this team's struggles on Sundays I don't see how anyone could predict a sweep. best bet is to get up big in games 1 and 2 and save Herring for an extended Sunday outing

They’re 1-7 on Sundays. Hoping for 4-2

4-2 with our RPI will get us in, unless there is a unrealistic run of bad teams winning their conference championship games.

The only chance we have if we lose tonight is to hope that it gets out of hand early enough that CJJ can throw Hellmers and Hurd or something like that. That would still give us a chance on Saturday and Sunday.

At the risk of asking a stupid question - does Holman’s past at Alabama give them any advantage tomorrow night? Or is it a non-issue?

I’m not sure how many guys in their lineup were there last year, nor am I sure whether there would really be any familiarity with his stuff anyway after this long. Just curious.

The pitching coach is still there. So, there is some familiarity. A lot of the position players turned over, but I'm sure they'll have a good scouting report.

And the average margin of defeat in those 7 losses is (nearly) 7 runs per game. LSU has lost by 10 runs on Sunday 4 times this season. Including last weekend.

While nothing is impossible, every ounce of data says a sweep, either this weekend or next, is HIGHLY unlikely. In fact, a blowout loss on Sunday in either series is more likely.

If LSU goes into next weekend needing a sweep to reach the NCAA Tournament, then you can almost close the book on that hope. However, 2 of 3 in both series is doable and would very likely be enough to sneak LSU in.

Really hoping I am proved wrong
