Any more than $20 then I can't rationalize opening it up to sit around on my fat arse and watch tv/look at my iPad whilst I drink......

varies greatly. $15-$20 on daily drinkers. $25-$50 on bottles for nice evenings. Parties restaurants are usually in the $100 range. I know the ones I like well enough to know how bad the restaurant is screwing me.

This is what is most important. I like old world wines. Do I like a California Cabernet at times? Yes. but if it's a fruitbomb they can take that shite and shove it. Yes, I'm talking to you, Caymus.

Drink what you like and don't be influenced by what others say.

Had a bottle of Caymus California the other day and it was so average and not exciting in the least. Disappointing even.

Would love a list of very goods at $20-30.

San Simeon Cab
Walking Fool blend
Educated Guess blend
Black Stallion cab
Conundrum blend
We the People cab is surprisingly good for the price!
Ghost Pines cab

Any Malbec from Mendoza county, Argentina

Sub 25$
Liberty School cab
Foxglove cab
Treasure Hunter is an absolute steal!!

There are a ton more I can't currently recall, but there's enough there.

Bonanza is the best bang for the buck $17.99

You'll get down voted to oblivion and it's far from my favorite, but for the price it's a decent wine. If you're sticking with Wagner I'd go Conundrum or walking fool instead.

Liberty School

Best in its class. Try Juggernaut, a little bolder but same price point.

Oh gtfo. If you spend more than $30 for ‘ordinary’ table wine you are just trying to show off, plenty of very good wines that people know are good for $20-30. Hell plenty in the $15-18 range.

I find Beringer wine to be good quality taste wise for a 10 dollar bottle. It actually competes in quality with many higher end wines

Our house wine is bota box. The cab is good enough for us and you cant beat the value.

I cant imagine hanging out with people who turn their noses up at a $17 bottle of liberty school cab. Its probably THE best wine to notice the jump in quality between price points.

We aint spending much more than that unless its a special occasion.
