the whole thing is fricked.
2 years ago I changed from Progressive to Geico.
Progressive told me I could not cancel without signing some form or something and sending it back to the for "approval". I brushed it off.
They sent a letter to the state notifying them of a lapse in coverage which was bullshite because I actually had DOUBLE coverage for two months. So now the burden is on me to prove this to the state.
Local DMV couldn't remove a flag. Took off work to go to a DMV that could handle it and couldn't because the vehicle was in my wife's car in her name.
The DMV phones are NEVER answered.
IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO WORK OUT THESE ISSUES By the time I figured out you could go to a 3rd party title place to resolve it, I had a late fee that I will NOT pay. Still not strait after two years.

I got 2 tickets 6 years old for going thru a red light while stuck in the ridiculous traffic jam at Carrollton & Washington when I was working in uptown New Orleans. I just wrote “no longer lives here” on the envelope and put it back in the mail. I guess that trick worked since I have never gotten another notice.

A Fox 8 analysis of city records shows only 63 percent of the traffic tickets issued from 2019-23 have been paid. That’s just over a million tickets.
How much does the city actually receive from the tickets? If 2/3 were paid, that means the city successfully collected $270 million from camera tickets.

I was behind a low rider black pickup yesterday, tinted window and no license plate or fake paper to be seen. Maybe NOPD should focus on this.

I wonder if a new license plate will fix that or if it carries over. A coworker had so many she claimed her plate got stolen and received a new plate.

Apparently you can also roll through Texas toll roads without a tag and they wont try to send you to collections until your bill gets up to $1000
I keep waiting to get something like this for that toll road above Destin that I've been driving on for years, where it says they will mail you the toll bill, and I've yet to see anything.

LOL their statement proves that you don't HAVE to mail the payment in. You won't get a warrant put on you. The only thing they can do is put a boot on your car, if they happen to see your car and run the plates. ROFL. Awesome. Now I have the knowledge to never pay one of those stupid tickets they mail you from the cameras and no worries.
BOOM thanks NOLA

pretty sure I owe a few thousand on that list. I have never paid a Single. fricking. One. of those tickets.
This was settled in courts several years ago: It's not a "criminal" fine and they cannot issue bench warrants for failure to pay. The camera company pays the municipality their share, then hounds you for the total. If you don't pay, it's a civil court matter and gets turned over to collections. Then it gets packaged with all the other unpaid tickets and sold down to the next bottom feeder collection agency. In the age of cell phones, block the frick out of those numbers when they start calling you. They will stop, believe me. And none of those frickers ever showed up on a credit report.

63% seems like a really high number for NOLA.

Tennessee Supreme Court ruled traffic cams were unconstitutional. I’ve had at least five tickets between Clarksville and Selmer and threw all of them in the trash.

I don't pay these frickers either but just be aware when you park on public streets. They have nondescript white vans rolling around with license plate readers ready to boot you arse.

I suspect a large part of that 63% paid is from out of towners

If you live in a house with no off street parking, you have to park on the street. Even if you’re parked legally, the parking vans will boot you if their scanner picks up your plate.
If I got booted while parked in front of my own house I would lose my fricking mind.

Fees? Or do they mean paying for Latoya's daily bar tabs, flying first class, and staying at the 4 seasons for some BS climate conference in Monaco?

If they were were legal tickets, they could collect

Money goes into a general fund. I’m done
