They are behind LSU on the bubble. Them falling further behind doesn't help LSU. Particularly when they are staring down a series vs. A&M and game at Southern Miss.
The biggest negative on LSU's resume is that they simply haven't won many games against good teams. Currently 5-13 against Q1 opponents. Ole Miss getting worse means LSU loses an opportunity to accumulate additional "Good wins"...which is something they REALLY need.
If OM were ahead of LSU in the selection pecking order them losing would be a good thing. They aren't. The only thing them losing accomplishes relative to LSU is to devalue any potential wins LSU gets against them.
