Maybe Bregman is hurt and is trying to hide it from the team. Reason being, if word gets out he has an injury that would cause him to miss a significant amount of time (shoulder, wrist, etc.), that makes him damaged goods on the free-agent market.
Flip side is when you hit .186 into May, you become damaged goods.

Definitely plausible. Because he isn’t hitting the ball hard at all. Usually in a prolonged slump, there are a bunch of bad luck outs. All he gets are weak ground outs or pop outs.
