You can get a used street legal K truck (jap truck) for about $5,000. I'm seriously considering getting one for around the house.

Link? Further info? Anything, just spit it out. My interest is piqued.

JPN Motors

"Around the house" and around the farm is the correct use case for a vehicle with 40-50 HP. It's not capable of keeping up in any US traffic conditions. And if you hit something, there is nothing in front of you but one thin piece of sheet metal and a nearly vertical steering column. I suppose if you want a Japanese Kei truck steering column for a pecker implant, it could work out. You'll need to find a Japanese GF with unusual tastes though......

Maybe so, but your fat arse will actually fit in a Gator, even if it does hang over the sides. That Toyota cab is designed for the Asian market, probably a median 5' 4" height and 140 lb with a tool belt.

So angry. Your job at the green machine dealership is safe, baw. No one is gonna take your financed Yeti from you.

No anger, just laughter at all the loudmouth baws in this thread.

BTW, username checks out.

That thing weighs in at an unbelievable 2,790 KILOGRAMS. Multiple sites quote the same number. That's 6,138 lbs.

If you think it really weighs that much you are dumb.

This guy passed me up doing well over 65 mpg on a US highway. I would not personally drive it like he was, but definitely would on lower posted MPH streets.

Toyota's own website: LINK

Apology accepted.

PS - Even if that's at max GVW, which it gives no indication it is, it's still a 4000 lb+ vehicle, about the weight of a stripped, base F150 with 164 HP.......

Design spec for the classification was originally ~50 MPH. Some variants, and modded trucks, are capable of up to 80. Agreed its not the smartest thing to do.

IWD that Land Cruiser truck sold in South Africa for F150 chump change at around $55,000.

That 79 on the plate is the model name, not the year.

None of us need a vehicle that costs 8K if we banged up the front grill and light assembly. We olds know it. Vehicles post 2002 have jumped the shark in every add-on way

Threads like this always get a lot of people screaming that's exactly what they want.

Yet base work trucks sit on the lot for months and have for decades.

That's close to what ford did with the base xl maverick.

It was originally released under $20k.

And thats a vehicle that cant stay on the lots..

Cadillac is a perfect example. I sincerely think they have the best line of all. But you can't buy one. A simple Caddy nose to XYZ bumper is horribly expensive. A 2008 4Runner is what I'm looking for.
