I don't love it either but it's a sound political strategy. He did the same to DeSantis.
He has great instincts in these situations. Most of this board didn't love his strategy with DeSantis but it wound up being spot on.

I’m sorry but this pisses off every independent, libertarian, and his entire base that doesn’t think Trump shits gold. Only the Trump cultists, Boomers, and libtards agree with what Trump is saying here. Trump’s idiot Boomer and attention whore detriments in his personality are coming out here, and the younger people around him need to tell him to cut the shite.
Not true at all in that most of us know this is just hardball politics.

Why is Trump worried about someone that has no chance?
Initially, it was thought that RFK would pull more votes from Biden than Trump because of his name. Some recent polling of RFK supporters is showing that he is actually pulling more voters from Trump than Biden, supposedly because of his anti-vax views. The polls are all over the place at this stage of the race so who knows.

I think you’re taking a very limited view of the whole thing.
Question: Do you think it’s possible for Trump to have entertained both extreme skepticism of the entire ordeal (much like many of us did, perhaps in increasing increments as the days and weeks passed), as well as being fully convinced that a vaccine was unavoidable and absolutely necessary…..all at the same time?
Note: Trump’s own personal views and opinions on the whole thing were wholly separate and distinct from those of many, many millions of other Americans. Trump’s endgame, ultimate goal, was to nurse the economy back from the brink of potential collapse. What’s the one ingredient that’s absolutely, without exception necessary for an economy to get back on its feet and thrive? People. People going out there and feeding it and propping it up. But there was a slight problem with that small ingredient: vastly too many people were basically refusing to get back out there and feed it and fuel it.
Despite how you or I saw it, an extreme portion of the citizenry were simply too timid or frightened or unconvinced and what have you to get out there. So what was the conclusion that I’m sure came rather easily as far as how to coax people back out? A vaccine. And for the economy’s sake, the sooner the better.

Never go HHTM. You are a smart, good dude.
Did you miss the article that RFK hired Vivek's point guy to influence that RFK Jr was MAGA?
Calm your jets. I think Trump needs to address covid more in depth, he is far from perfect-- but RFK Jr is not as libertarian as you think. RFK Jr is a globalist for the green new deal on steroids.
He may have acute accurate points on vax's but he is not MAGA.

How about just being tough for our country? I do no not want a pansy in office. What is wrong with strength through words?
He honestly gains nothing from this within 4 years. He will most likely come, NO, he WILL come out of office with less than he entered. Y'all do get another chance in 2028. Trump is the least of your worries.
You better pay attention towards the left if you care about much.
