He retired before I was in HS, but there used to be a bus driver who would drive his afternoon route with a small ice chest and a miller pony between he legs.

And he had been doing it for so long no one really never thought anything of it, it was just Mr. James drinking his ponies. Evidently it was okay for him to do it in the late 60s, 70s and 80s.. but by the early 90s, a new super intendent came in and pretty much forced him to retire. Was never in an accident in his bus since he started driving..
