Well it was a judgement call that could have went either way…..if the throw would have been on line and it hit the runner as he was running into Jones it may have been called….with such a piss poor throw it’s easier to not call interference.

That’s not how interference in this case works.

It's both. Absolutely shitty baseball by us and absolutely interference by them.

I’d like another look at his path to the base….hes not outside of the basepath in that pic….you get some leeway on either side of the line.

You can’t be inside the foul line if you’re past the halfway mark. Looked like interference but Bama refs.

By rule you have to stay between the lines. On replay it looked like he was on our outside the line. Could have been called out but replay is in Birmingham. Either way. Jay fricked up by not starting Herring in the eighth.

There was a call similar to this last year where the announcers said by rule there is leeway on either side of the foul line.

No you do not. You can't be inside it at all.

The runner was running directly on the baseline the entire time and never deviated from it.

This is irrelevant. By rule, that was 100% interference.

Still, it was a massive choke job by the Tigers. Brutal.

100% wrong. Go watch the video he’s 2-3 feet inside the base path up until after the throw. The Florida kid was actually much closer to the line and got called for interference
