I know it’s fun to have a guy show his true grit and belly fire but what happened to Herring in the 9th could have been better managed if he would have been able to temper his energy.
Would not have had the hit batter along with at least one of the walks.
In hindsight, Milazzo should have made a much better throw to first and also could have had better effort from Jones receiving a shitty throw, but Herring got them in that spot.
It’s was an ultimate collapse from a team that just couldn’t afford it and needed 2/3 from both series over the next 2 series.
That game should never have been lost against an ok team.
Could have been the nail.
