You can most likely see them again tonight if you look north away from city lights between 9 p.m. and 3 a.m.," WWL Louisiana Meteorologist Alexa Trischler said Saturday morning. "However, there will be more clouds moving in late tonight which could impact the viewing."

Always.
Jesus could come back and the cloudy skies would prevent South Louisiana residents from seeing it.

Last night in the northern sky, to the eyes, it was a noticeable red glow with hints of green. The iPhone camera of course really brought out the colors. I don’t care. It’s probably a once, maybe twice in a lifetime event in southeast Louisiana. I’ll take what I can get. If you told me yesterday morning “you’re going to stand in your front yard tonight and see the northern lights” I’d have asked you what kind of shite you’ve been smoking.
To my knowledge, thus far, no significant negative impact has come from this. It’s kind of nice to have a relatively unexpected, world-wide natural event occur that everyone can enjoy (weather permitting). So many pictures from around the world. We kind of needed a shot in the arm like this. Too much negative shite in the world. Just enjoy a little positive while we can.

Interesting that people are seeing the blue and purple (nitrogen light emission) and not the traditional green (oxygen). I guess the purple is drowning out the green.
