I wonder how much a broken arm, leg, or any other typical kids ER visits costs now vs 1977

I had an Evel Knievel bike.

It was peak 1970s badassery.

I still have a scar on my jawline from a brick throwing war in the abandoned unbuilt neighborhood next to Tall Timbers apartments on North Ardenwood Circa 1983. I bent over to grab a brick to throw and when I looked back up there was only time to let out a "shite" before I got hit in the side of the face with half a brick. I cried like an 8 year old bitch.

Some kid from the surrounding neighborhood decided to fight me in that same field and picked up a 2x4 to try and hit me. Turns out a 2x4 isn't much of a weapon in the hands of a 10 year old. He missed the first swing and then caught an adolescent arse-whooping.

My best memories are finding porn staches in the dumpster and breaking into empty apartments to ogle the T&A.

who didn't do that kind of stuff? I did a lot worse when I got older. I'm surprised I lived looking back.

I busted one of my best friends head open on a dirt clod fight. He's now a politician in Louisiana.

The thing that pissed us off the most is he told his parents the truth about what happened. It went against the code.

No, it's women turning dads into bitches. And Obama care, shoving everyone into high deductible plans, discouraging care (by design,) and therefore increasing risk aversion even more among wives. Notice a running theme?

Yep, someone brought a pellet gun to a bb gun fight once I got hit. I wasnt about to tell my mom, she'd turn it on me.

We just bit the proverbial bullet and vowed revenge. Regardless, the mom to mom information line was fairly knowledgeable and accurate without any leaks from the kids. They seemed to know everything.

A BB gun war would probably get parents thrown in jail today.

3 pump limit for the guys with those, although a Red Rider was the preferred weapon due to it's rapid fire capability.

I didn't have a ramp like that in the 1970s. We laid a sheet of plywood over a dumped refrigerator lying on its side. Or, some bricks and cinder blocks.

Pretty sure the bastard who nailed me said he pumped that Benjamin over a dozen times.

Half my childhood was hiding injuries from my baseball coaches so I could still play a game that night.

I put a nail through my hand in a high jump incident, had to keep it a secret for 10 hours until after the game.

Incoming ER visit in 3...2...1...

One of the may ramps we made as kids had he dangerous factor turned up when my uncle decided to light the approach and ramp on fire, then dared us to jump it. We did. Same uncle just ran for Sheriff.

I still have my old Benjamin pump pellet gun. Works like it was new.

My BB gun war story of pain is getting shot right below my left ear by someone on my own team. He was trying to shoot while running and I was several yards in front of him already. I couldn’t hear out of that ear for a few hours.
