Would love to see the Tigers win one today and break this Sunday curse. With no midweek game this week will Anderson get the start? And what does the rest of the pen look like? Ulloa, Moffett, Loer, Cam, and Dutton?

The remaining bullpen is pretty much very limited to downright garbage.

Those midweek guys should be available today though. That would open it up a little. Probably why JJ went to Herring Friday (even though it didnt work out) and Ack last night. Didn't need to save them for today.

Sure hope so. How nice would it have been for Hurd to have panned out this year as a solid starter. I’m no baseball coach, but I’m sure CJJ is disappointed in how he’s performed this year and nobody is more so than Thatcher himself.
High expectations just didn’t pan out. Anyone have an opinion as to why?

Yeah, he was so awesome at the end of last season. His curveball was unhitttable. Just seems like he is in his head right now.

Anderson hasn’t been kept out of Sundays because we need him for midweek. He’s been pitching midweek because he’s not good enough for Sundays.

You got Dutton, Moffitt, Cam Johnson and Ulloa all ready to go. Herring might could pitch again. Coleman, Loer, Hellmers and Hurd while not great are ready to go.

That's not all garbage like you said. There are dudes available that while streaky are good when they are on.

I'm done with Hurd. This game is to important to allow one of his big innings. Lsu will score 6 to 7 runs max. That's what they have done all year so dont expect any difference but be happy if you get more then this offense typically produces. We will have to have the best game we can from the mound to win.

We haven't seen it yet, but Bama's lineup is solid. I dont think you can take a chance on Hurd to maybe give up his typical 3 to 5 runs blowup inning that he typically has. Hurds stuff is ok, but when it goes bad he gives up bigger numbers then the LSU offense can make up for. Single run homers aren't that bad to give up. Hurd just usually walks a few batters then gives up the Homer.

If I'm coach the Hurd experiment is over. I thank him for his contributions last year but to win this series I dont put him on the field at all and I don't put him on the field against Ole Miss. As a college pitcher you can't give up walks because they kill you. Hurd always walks people save a few special games he has had here.

This is an important game. If we win this series and the series against Ole Miss we would finish 5 and 5 on series wins in the SEC and have a good rpi. I think that one stat that helps get us in the postseason if it happens.
