Scoop works for Bally and has had some insider Pels knowledge the last couple years

He’s not the scoop B of old that threw stuff against the wall before he started working for Bally

BI for #1 I can maybe see since it’s considered a weak draft at the top, but to match salaries, it seems like the Pels would need to send some change back. BI + what for Murray and #1?

Scoop has better info than anyone not named Christian Clark in New Orleans.

Okongwu, but then we would have to send picks back.

BI and Herb works money wise for Murray and Capella

I just don’t see Atlanta making that trade though, that wouldn’t be enough value to move from 21 to 1

If they would have gotten 3 or 4 then yeah I could see it

Still a lot of crap being thrown out there outside of the national guys.

But in reality, BI for high draft pick is probably a realistic option that doesn't require you to settle for high salary player(s) you don't love. And Since they don't have to take a back equivalent salary and teams at the top of the draft may even prefer a BI (with an agreement of an extension) to a prospect in the draft.

Who would we even target if we got into the top 5? Clingan?

I don't really put stock into any local "inside guy" especially for 1 hit, you get 100 misses.

If they’re trading #1 they aren’t going to want to trade Okungwu too. Maybe something like this could work

BI + Nance + #21 + future 1st

Murray + Capella + #1

Atlanta was getting offers of trash players and a pick at the deadline for Murray. Here you get 2 picks for Murray and then BI for #1 in a weak draft. Keep in mind that rookie scale at the top is high. So #1 in a draft without true top tier talent has some risk with it. This is a player that will be making $10-$12 million and be on the max salary path.

How about this?

BI and 21 to Rockets

Jabari Smith Jr, Steven Adams, Jeff Green and #3 to Pels

Adams and Green are only there for salary matching purposes and Smith Jr has sort of underwhelmed for Houston so far

I’m assuming they would package some 1st round picks and BI to move up. I’m curious for who tho.

I read somewhere not many teams want the top 3 pick because they don’t want to pay that salary lol

Atlanta is going to be one of those teams if they don't move some of their players this offseason.

I can’t help but think Griff is salivating at pairing Sheppard with Zion.

A high volume 3 point shooter that can dish the rock has to be appealing

I agree with your first statement.

Somehow we need to reroute Capella and picks to Cleve for JA.

Then all roads lead back to rome :)
