2020 was considered a weak draft. Wound up having quite a lot of solid players and even budding superstars. You just never know. There’s intriguing prospects in this class. Just maybe not on the same level as classes like last year

I’m cool with Duren + top 5 pick for BI + picks.

But that puts a lot of pressure on that 5th pick if it’s Dillingham, Sheppard, etc. to be that PG of the future. And with Willie’s track record with rookies, it’s kind of risky.

I still think a lineup of:

CJ
Trey
Herb
Z
Duren

Is better than

CJ
BI
Herb
Z
Val

In fact, it’s hard to imagine the lineup with Duren NOT being better. On paper, the lineup with BI and JV SHOULD be the better unit but statistics proved this just isn’t true. That group didn’t fit together. The group with Duren will and not just because Duren is a center Willie will actually use but because of the spacing with Trey. And if you hit on Shep or DHam then you’ve got Z, a rim protector for the future and your PG of the future.

I’m thinking the same thing, especially with bigs in this draft. At least one of filipowskj, Missi, Ware or Holmes will be good.

I can also see a few goods ones come from McCain, Shannon, Carter and Kolek
