I mean someone will probably take a flyer on Kling in rounds 15-20 for peanuts.
Sure he can go, but he could make a lot more by pulling an Andrew Stevenson and hitting for a high average his Jr year.
These days if you can’t hit homers you better be an elite defender (he’s really close) and hit a ton of singles and doubles (long way to go).
He feasts on walks and HBPs which get less and less common in pro ball.

Yeah, especially since he could come back to LSU and he isn't going to go in the first 5 rounds. I am not sure where the crossover is for a possible wasted pick (since he has options to come back to college) on a project.
I hope he returns, I still think his upside is huge, feel like most of his batting woes are in his head.

Yeah, he is very close to being elite, his range/speed is already elite. Because of his range/speed, he has made some catches look routine this season that were anything but. But his hitting woes have been hard to watch and are more apparent to the casual fan as well. So he get a lot of grief, some deserved and some not.

Yeah and those things may make a difference to a guy on the draft bubble or for draft positioning but will never be THE reason a guy is coveted in the draft.
