I saw a video of Cecilia it looked really bad. Looks like the tornado went through a trailer park.

Either we have way too many of these or God hates trailer parks.

I liked James Gregory, and that's one of my favorite bits of his.

To be serious for a second. Trailer parks probably don't get hit any more often than anywhere else. It is just that the threshold for considerable damage is so much lower for a mobile home. I am directly familiar with this reality. An EF1 tornado passed within fifty yards of the house I grew up in and that my Mom still lives in. It did no damage to our home, though we had some tree limbs and random damage. It did no damage to our neighbor's home. Its immediate path more or less split the two homes. It did minimal damage, from a tree falling on the corner, of a house directly in the path across the road.

That tornado, an EF1 that did minimal damage to three site built homes, absolutely demolished a mobile home just to the West of the homes. It relocated most of it across the road, and moved the frame a considerable distance. Fortunately, no one was home at the time.

They make fine homes for those who need them. You just have to understand their shortcomings, and never stay in one when high winds or tornado are possible. You just can't stay.
