We used to visit Sonny's occasionally when we lived in Jax. We preferred Bono's, but Sonny's was pretty good, too, as far as reasonably priced BBQ joints go.

I think Sonny's is to bbq as Outback is to steak houses. Pretty good, but you can find better bbq out there if you are willing to spend quite a bit more...

The Big Deal was my go to, brisket between the Texas toast & a side of beans
We don’t get it as often as we used to but we always order extra toast so I can make the sandwich
