I don't really care overall about the wind turbines. But a lot of those wind turbine deaths predate installation of those turbines especially off the Long Island coast.

It was / is not all that unusual to have a whale or 3 was up near Montauk and that's going back years if not more than a century. Usually juvenile whales who get caught in bad places like active fishing grounds.

Knew a commercial fisherman up there who would complain that whales were getting caught up in his nets. The adults had no problem dealing with them, but the young ones could end up drowning because of them
