you dont know shite about what im saying. the play would have been different on both sides of the ball bc of the situations. just bc you break free on one play and score doesn't mean the same thing happens on every spot on the field.
well no shite.
but it's insane to say that there is no way we could have gained 15 more yards in 46 seconds and the only reason that we won was the penalty....esp when we only needed a FG.

Again, how do you know that the kicker wouldnt have punched it through the back of the endzone? Or that the kicker wouldnt have squibbed it? All of the strategy changed after that 15yrs. Would Trindon have taken the kick back the whole way, its quite possible...
Like it or not, you people need to take off the purple and gold glasses and admit the penalty prob saved our asses.
If you didn't have the computer then we wouldn't have to consider foolish "what ifs". If the frog didn't hop it would bump its butt on the ground. The call was made, Trindon returned it well and Ga had the opportunity to tackle him and they didn't. In the same situation we made a good tackle. Charles made a good run and got the TD. All of the what ifs and speculation about this will not change the facts. LSU won the game and GA was not cheated

But bro the LSU would have been in the same O and UGA in their base D. I doubt a different call would have been made. At those points on the field you don't see much change schematically like you do on the goal line. It doesn't matter we fricking won I don't give a shite the better team won imho.

oh definitely. you guys still win the ballgame. plenty of time and only needed a FG. not arguing with the outcome.
Posted on 10/4/09 at 7:27 pm to CRAZY 4 LSU
ok cool. no one is arguing that whatsoever.

You mean the incompletion the refs called correctly?
read the rules, and it ain't that cut and dried. but overall, this is a waste of time. Next week at 7cst we'll start to see what we can do to make this an SECCG season.

Every close game is partially decided by the officiating. In every close game you can find a call or no call of some kind and attach a bunch of shoulda coulda wouldas to it.
Its like in the fight game, if you don't want the judges to frick you, then knock the bitch out.

NC_Tigah: No, someone on page 2 or 3 made the statement, in response to the bitching by the Ga. fans "well what about the no call on the safety", thats why I was compelled to correct him.

IMHO, on the replay he just made it outside the tackle box. When I first saw it, I thought we got robbed. When I saw the replay, it looked like a good call.
The whole celebration rule is stupid, but the worst call was the RS "fumble".

At this point arguing what woulda or coulda happened is like arguing about how many angels can dance on the head of a pin.
Course it could be the refs just gave us that call cause when they try to screw us at Aubie or Bammer that can point back to the celebration call against UGA

The call was stupid. You don't want the officials deciding or influencing a game like that on a petty call.
Posted on 10/4/09 at 8:05 pm to Baloo
It would have been fair to UGA only if we let them have Trindon on that kick off return. Take off his Tiger jersey, give him a dog one and then let him return it for them. After that let Scott put on that dog jersey and run it against us. THAT would have been fair. Same situation then against our defenders.

That would be stupid. Everyone knows that exactly 4,327 angels can dance on the head of a pin.

Miles didn't call the play and neither did Crowton. Jefferson got on the phone with Crowton and changed the play from a play-action to LaFell into Scott's run.
But he definitely would not have done this if we were 15 yards out of field goal range.
I agree with you here. The Tigers would probably have been passing from the spread if they were still on UGAs 48 with second and five to go. I don't think Crowton would have bothered with play action in that case.
If you rememberthe Miss State game, LSU paid a high price for celebration in that game. Anyway, we won that one with a goal line stand. Georgia can only look to their defense for allowing LSU into field goal range.
I don't like the subjective nature of the celebration penalties. In my opinion, they are too subjective. In the case of AJ Green, he didn't do much to deserve the penalty. He did just enough that, when his actions were compounded by a whole slew (including Green) of Bulldogs nearly ran over the ref while celebrating, the ref got pissed and reached for the flag! I watched it, and I believe the disrespect for the official triggered the flag.
