This is day 6 of keto for me. My diet has been 100% perfect...the eating is becoming so easy to manage...went to our favorite BBQ place and just ate brisket and chicken with no sauce and green beans. Tough to pass on the rolls and free ice cream but I stayed strong. I did have a beer yesterday and a glass of wine last night. I'm feeling good.

I haven't been under 220 in a few years.
Gotta get keep this diet rollin. All the cravings I have now are for nutritious food.

I'm not saying bread isn't. I love good bread. But it's not something I need everyday.

Buddy of mine quit drinking during the week and has 1-2 beers or glasses of wine on the weekend. Kept the same diet and added some running. Has lost a ton of weight. He attributes it to cutting out 90% of his previous alcohol intake.

My problem isn't the alcohol it's the carbonated drinks and Taco Bell

I go through a 12 pack of Barq's root beers every other day and eat Taco Bell 3-4 times a week

Got to look in the mirror walt. The road to good intentions is paved with empty barques cans and littered with taco bell wrappers.

Barq's has bite. No doubt about that.

Barq's and a shrimp poboy is one of life's simple pleasures.
But that just isn't in the cards for me.

That is a horrible substitute, but a great idea.

My first 25 pounds can definitely be attributed to cutting binge drinking from 3 days a week to one day a week. Now I'm trying to cut back on the one day a week to none during lent. We'll see what happens

Same here.

I had two glasses of wine tonight. But I had 1/2 chicken breast and a few bites of broccoli and cauliflower for lunch. Salmon dip I made using Peche's recipe for smoked tuna dip, subbing salmon for tuna:

Then I put it on some bib
